An Austin interior designer creating homes pretty enough for a glossy magazine spread and practical enough for your real life.

Shannon Horsey Interiors specializes in turnkey residential design to create a home you can’t wait to come home to—without the chaos and confusion of the average remodel or renovation. We manage every step of the project, starting with concept and budget, through 3D renderings and finish selection, and into construction and completion.

In short? We take a complicated process and bring the FUN.

It’s The Inside That Counts

Here’s a fun fact: pre-pandemic, the average American spent over 2,900 waking hours at home each year. Post-pandemic, that number is even higher.[1]

So shouldn’t you be in love with a place you spend that much time?

We want to get to know you. Because a) we just like people (and we LOVE your pets). And b) the better we know you, the more effective we’ll be at creating the zen retreat, kid-friendly home, or retirement-ready abode you’re dreaming of.

How Can We Put More YOU in Your Home?

Kitchens & Bathrooms

We go beyond the pretty finishes, exploring your needs for each space before we create your dream kitchen or bathroom. Let us nerd out over flow rates, electrical loads, and vent draws to make sure these spaces work as well as they look.

Full Home Remodel

Let us reimagine your existing home for the way you live. Whether you need a private home office, a roomier kitchen, or a mudroom for your beloved pup, we can make it happen with a cohesive look from room to room. And we’re talking more than surface-level—we can pull permits for a serious overhaul. It’s what we live for.

New Home Construction

If you’re building a new home, let’s get the look right from day one! We can work with your builder to make sure every light switch, every fixture, and every cabinet is right where it belongs—BEFORE they’re installed. Poring over schematics is our idea of a good time.

Just need a practiced eye to help with colors and furniture?
We also offer paint consultations, furniture selections, and interior styling for an upgraded look without a full overhaul.

Let There Be LIGHT

If we had to pick the most important thing in interior design, it would be lighting. A great design becomes legendary with the right illumination! That’s why we pay extra close attention to light placement, wattage, and even switches. Recessed ambient lighting for a soft glow. Task lighting so you’re not squinting over your favorite cookbook during meal prep. Decorative lighting to add a little “jewelry” for your room. We admit it—we’re lighting nerds.

We Don’t Do Copy-and-Paste

Interior design would be easier if it was just about what we like. But it wouldn’t be better. Because the foundations of great design come from our clients’ visions. Using a practiced eye and years of technical expertise, we’ll elevate your original ideas into something completely new.

With high-end finishes and heirloom quality furniture selections, you’ll get a finished space that you can love for years to come.

Practice Safe Design.
Use a Concept.

Interior design is fun. If it weren’t, we wouldn’t have done it for over 20 years! But it can also be complex and intimidating for the homeowner. We take the uncertainty out of your project with detailed 3D renderings and CAD drawings of our designs. So you can relax, knowing exactly what the finished product will look like. Plus, as a Registered Interior Designer in the State of Texas, we can submit our drawings to the city for permitting. The i’s get dotted and the t’s get crossed.

Let's Take A Look At This Process

Well Isn’t That Sweet?

“Shannon is incredible at what she does and so easy to work with! She did a complete bathroom/master closet remodel for me, and did a great job helping me figure out what I wanted and making those ideas come to life. Now I’m looking forward to having her work through other rooms in my house to update and make them feel more contemporary. I truly love her work!”
